Dr. Amy Swei, LAC, PHD, is Chinese and a third-generation acupuncturist. She moved to Southern California from Korea when she was 9 years old. She graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with a bachelor’s degree in international business. She went on to earn a master’s degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine from South Baylo University as well as a Ph.D. in oriental medicine and acupuncture from American Liberty University.
Dr. Amy worked at Southern California University of Health Sciences as a clinical director, where she trained interns in traditional Chinese medicine. She has even traveled across Asia to become educated on different forms of natural medicine.
Dr. Amy has gained an understanding of traditional Chinese medicine practices throughout her travels and education, which show how acupuncture and herbal therapies can be used as a healing modality. While earning her PHD, Dr. Amy researched the benefits that herbs and acupuncture can have for treating health conditions.
